People living in the coldest and least efficient properties in Kensington and Chelsea may be eligible for up to £10,000 of grant funding to make their homes warmer and cheaper to run. The grants, available through Kensington and Chelsea Council, can cover efficiency measures such as low carbon heating systems, insulation, and smart heating controls.
Kensington and Chelsea has a fund available for renovating more than 50 homes in the borough. Eligible residents should have an EPC rating of E, F and G and have a total household income of £30,000 per year or less.
The funding is from the Green Homes Grant, which has £4.73m to spend across seven London boroughs. The goal is to carry out smart energy efficiency retrofits on up to 700 London homes.
