At least 22 London commuters have been injured after an explosion on a District Line train service. Paramedics were called to the scene at 8:20am this morning.
It is believed that the explosion occurred on one of the train’s rear carriages as it approached Parsons Green station. After the smell of burning, passengers immediately departed the train at the station and it is understood that some are being treated for burn injuries.
While the Met Police have stated that it is too early to confirm what the cause of the fire was, the area has now been evacuated.
According to the London Ambulance Service, a hazardous team has been sent.
